Griffin 25 tank and sx mini ml class mod.

Hi my name is Matthew. i have just bought a griffin 25 tank and sx mini ml class mod. i have a couple of questions that i'm finding hard to get answered and was wondering if anyone could help? i want to use Clapton wire to make my coils so bought some double Clapton (24+24G)*32G but try as i might cant get the coils to fit. i guess i have to big a gauge, could anybody tell me the correct Clapton wire to use, also the sx mini canes through battery's i am using 2 Samsung INR18650-25R's a day which seems a bit excessive to me could someone also help me out with this one.

I don’t know the tank but hopes this helps.

Start simple try single kanthal 26awg core with kanthal 32awg wrap.

UD does this as a wire and aspire do some prebuilt coils at about 0.8 ohms so if dual would be 0.4ohm (ish)

about 3 or 2.5 mm wraps about 5 wraps if dual should bring about 0.4 ohms from memory.

Use steam engine website for coil accuracy.

Vape at about 40-60w (ish) to suit your taste and the juice.

You should look at some YouTube tutorials on how to build your tank.
Im thinking either you have not fed the coils in far enough or the internal diameter of the coils is too large.
It does look like a small deck but still should fit.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on choosing one of the best tanks ever made in China and one of the best mods.

Are you making your own coils or are they premade?

I'm guessing you're coiling them yourself - I have triple 24g wrapped with 32 and they fit the Griffin comfortably, so I'm guessing you're inner diameter is too big.

Try wrapping round a 2.5mm bit.

As for battery life, you're doing well to get through only 2 batteries with that sort of setup.

Hi i kept going and got my home made coils to fit but am now getting dry burn. i,m very new to twin coil set ups so think it must be user error probably a wicking issue .Thanks for the advice. Regards. Matthew
