The Guardian Australia has this gem. The article and the rapport from the government are based on poor research, anecdotal evidence, and is basically unbalanced propaganda. Exactly what one would expect from the Australian government. They are building their case for draconian legislation, and the Guardian is attacking the vaping minority because it appeals to their hysterical middle class mothers.

However, there is one comment from a leading doctor there that does deserve our attention.

“When the vapes we’ve seen have cartoon characters and the same tropes as children’s cereal on the packaging, these companies are either targeting children or not taking care to keep children safe,”

The Chinese vape industry has been shooting itself in the foot for years. The tobacco industry lost its credibility in the US congress because, among other things, they tried to argue that the Camel cigarettes cartoon wasn’t designed to appeal to children and teenagers. One would think that the more responsible vape companies would insist on regulation themselves…

same shit different day.
lets protect the children, so ban or restrict them for everyone.
why are they not clamping down on the suppliers first. instant ban and large fines on shops that are caught supplying kids.
hopefully kids will soon get boared when they are much harder to source and then move onto the next big craze.
so whats the next big craze, well prime hydration drink of course. so majority of shops are now ripping off everyone especially the kids parents. 4 bottles in the uk are selling for upto £100 ($183aud) while supermarkets are selling for the correct price of £2 ($3.67aud).
next we will see kids addicted to caffein when the new prime energy drinks hit the market. are they then going to start banning coffee.

You wouldn't want to be a smoker in OZ who wants to give up through switching to vaping. By the time they've finished the whole vaping scene there will be the black market.

Several days ago the NSW Premier came out and said he supported vaping and the use of flavours as its helped him quit smoking. The anti vape gangs went into overdrive immediately and ignored what he said and had people giving all sorts of info 99% false, on the evils of vaping and save our poor innocent aussie kids. They buried his comments so fast under an avalanche of bs that it was like "huh, what, did Dominic say something? I dunno, must have imagined it!"
The kids imagery has always been a problem. I recall when nic salts hit the scene and one device maker showed their vape with a little kid in a baseball cap and wearing a back pack playing with a nic salt ball! How bizzare that was. Trouble too is this entire generation is childish, acts childish, childish stuff appeals to adults now that say 15 yrs ago would have had them laughed at. The Peter Pan generation, never growing up. I see adults in their 50s to 70s dressed like teenagers, cars pull up with stickers on the back windows with stuff kids would have, profane plays on words I wont even repeat here.
What hope has the next gen got!?
