Hi, anyone have a guide to steeping eliquids. Already fast steeped 1 eliquid using boiling water but would like to steep more. Thanks

as far as i'm aware excess heat will start to degrade your nicotine, warm water would probably work better for a initial headstart to the steeping process, but for the best result stick bottles away from direct light (drawer/cupboard) and leave them there shaking once every day or two
Steeping time will vairy depending on what type of juice your making

its like a fine malt whiskey. if you speed up the process it doesnt always make it as nice as if you let it mature naturally.

easiest way if you can resist the wait.
dark cupboard, drawer or airing cupboard.
fruits maybe a few days to a week at most needed in dark.
custards and cream based 2-3 weeks. remove cap every few days and squeeze the air out of the bottle replace cap and give it a good shake and put back in the dark (the squeeze is for the nicotine so if zero it doesnt need that bit).

I keep my liquids in a draw so is that OK to keep them there all the time anyway ? Thanks

yup, that will be fine.
just give them a good shake before you vape if they havnt been moved for a while.

It's a learning curve. It will take some time for you to find some mixes you're happy with, then you can plan ahead and mix well in advance.

I've got some 6 month steeped custard and tobacco mixes, each of which will last another 6 months so I've just mixed the next batch.

I found for myself to leave the juices in the airing cupboard, shaking them every morning then gently squeezing the bottle without cap on when I get in from work. Rinse and repeat for a week (fruit flavours), 2-3 weeks (creamy flavours) and 2-3 months (custard or tobacco flavours).
I actually have a 100ml bottle of a custard cream pudding flavour that has been steeping in the dark, all sealed up, since 1st November using this method. Its a nice gloopy mix of goodness now

Hello and apologies for what may be a silly question. Why aren't e-liquids 'pre-steeped' before being sold ?. I thought that they were good to vape when bought. 2-3 weeks doesn't seem like a long time for a producer to stock pile before shipping, but waiting 2-3 weeks after getting a delivery before it's ok to use seems a little nuts to a newbie like me.
I've got a lovely bottle of 25y/o Scotch, but I'd be pissed if they posted me an 8 year old bottle and they told me to put it in a barrel for another 17 years before it was good to drink.

Not all liquids need steeped and most you buy will be good to go. Some places like dragons rise etc.. have liquids at prices that are very competitive and the catch is you need to steep it basically.

Where are you getting your liquids from? Chances are they'll be good to go.

They are, well they should be, to me that's part of what you are paying for and if they aren't then I think it should be explicitly stated. Most conversations on here are about juice you've made yourself.
