Gvc recipe tastes soapy

Mixed up a little batch of grants vanilla custard using one of the recipes from the recipe section. It has only been steeping for 5 days but thought I'd have a little taste. There is a soapy taste which is a shame as it has potential to be really nice. I'm hoping this will go with a little more time. Is this the case.

Something might be wrong ... fresh custard shouldn't taste soapy.
Soap kinda tastes soapy.

I get this issue with Peanut butter but since moved to mixing/steeping in glass and haven't tried it again since thou can say I have never had that from the GVC recipe on hear I use it weekly at the min

Hmm....it's strange. What could be wrong. Main flavours were cap vanilla custard, dulce de leche and sweetener. No soap been near the mix. Nic vg and pg fine in other mixes.

Was me not cleaning the bottles a school boy error. I assumed they would be ready to go.....you know what they say about assumption being the mother of all $%&# ups. Weird though as all the other mixes seem fine.

Have you tried this mix before? It could just be your taste bud's interpretation of the flavour. One guy on here reckons CCW custard tastes like soil, so it could be anything.

Not tried it before....but did mix another bottle with slightly more vc % and that is awesome. Can't see it being the reason though, think it must have got contaminated in some way.
