Had to do the unthinkable with the Kraken

I coiled it with more coils AND thinner Kanthal for a MUCH higher resistance on a dual coil silica build. This is madness I hear you say.. Well, not sure about others experience with it but fook me sideways if it is not just an absolute flavour juggernaught - I actually find it makes me cough with every juice so far on my typical single or dual coil setup.

Overall the thing hits like a train whose brakes have been cut but as a downside by comparison to the Taifun I am getting less vapour and I think as a result with the flavour being so hard on the lungs I prefer the Taifun - the Kraken looks better though and on any of my nems it keeps everything dinky small. Any tips from others who own it to find a happier medium or less full on output?

I made the mistake of opening the air hole on both sides it has both or just one anyway coughed my guts up, I've been messing with combinations of wicks, both silica with mesh wrapped around the outside and ekowool and SS rope with mesh wrapped, the silica way is a winner ekowool is good but a pain for not much gain.

Wonder if you could make like a cake wick silica through ekowool wrapped in mesh, then cotton wrapped round by the coil?

I make a very thin SS mesh wick about 2mm thick and put a 3mm ekowool sleeve over it. 3 or 4 wraps of .28 and it works a treat. Are you sure its not the juice that's too harsh?

Could that be a problem im having,I got double flavour with my last order of juice,whilst I was still using tanks like the iclear 30.
But now im on a russian 91% and the flavour is intense!!!
Catches me out every now and then and makes me choke.
Should I just get normal flavour,would that be the issue?

I'm no expert but Ive got 2 krakens in use. One has plain strawberry and is great while the other has pina colada and is harsh. I think it all depends on the juice. I like a 50/50 in berry flavours and am thinking an even higher vg for juice with citrus.

I think the juice does matter. I've had chocolate fudge through it not so nice. Banoffee pie is great. I think its the nature of how the juice is heated.
