Has anyone tried any of the HIC (HeadInClouds) recipes from Vaping Underground

They get near universal acclaim over there. Quite complex recipes using almost exclusively FA concentrates. Got some FAs in the post to try a few out, but have a question. The levels of concentrate seem very low in many of these. Are the FA concentrates very concentrated or something? anyone tried any of his recipes?

FA = very concentrated :) think 3% where other brands use 10%
I'm a simple recipe kind of guy, I dove in at the deep end with some 7 concentrate juice and then went sod that :) But the recipes look solid and there are enough people saying they are good, so if you got the ingredients anyway I say go for it :)

I've tried a lot of his recipes and they're generally good because he knows what tastes good with what and how flavorings react together but his taste must be very sensitive because I generally need about 50% extra flavoring..

Which recipes do you have your eye on? I may have tried it.

As StuPot says HIC does mix quite low, but FlavourArt doesn't need high percentages. With my own recipes I'll try to keep flavouring within 5-8% total. Individual flavours about 4% total.

I think HIC mixes low because of PG intolerance or something. So tries to keep it to a minimum but still taste good.

If you do try the recipes you can just increase the ratio by 25-50%, if you feel the need. Personally I prefer slightly lighter flavouring so I can chain vape and it not become overpowering or sickly too quickly.

I'm tempted by his Irish Lass (basically a Bailey's recipe by the look of it), and either the Tiramisu Cheesecake or Tiramisu Cream, but to be honest there are a stack of recipes on there that sound as though they could be delicious. What have you guys tried?

I haven't tried any recipes really other than White Tic Tacs, which is pretty spot on. But I do use his "my notes on ........" They've helped me a lot in creating my own recipes. HIC can describe them accurately, and I do get exactly the same when making my own samples of concentrates.

I've tried Irish Lass. Yeah it's quite good.
From memory, I think he says one % for each flavouring so I went for 1.5 which worked well.
Like you I was sceptical of the percentages but yeah, like everyone has said, FA = very concentrated.
Good luck

Irish lass is a good one.. But I bumped the flavorings upto 1.5% each.

FA Irish Cream tastes just like Baileys Irish Cream.

All his coffee recipes are gorgeous. And his cakes, cookies, drinks.. I've tried a few that just didn't live up to the description but on a whole his recipes are really good.

Regularly mix up double mint, simple to tweak. Equal parts spearmint/ peppermint @ 3% each, spot on for wrigleys

Some bottles in the post this morning and a day off :)

Just mixed up HIC's Tiramisu Cheesecake recipe, I used the option for a little extra Tiramisu:

1) FA Tiramisu is insanely strong ... at 1% it comes through clear and loud (at this level 10ml will do 100 bottles ... that's mad value)
2) I'm going to have to rethink how I do samples with these concentrates. My smallest syringe is a 1ml, with 0.02ml gradations and that isn't really good enough at these tiny percentages for small 2ml testing samples.
3) It's bloody lovely
