Has anyone tried nic salts?

I just wondered what your thoughts were on nic salts? Are they more effective than normal juice for staving a fag craving? What strength did you use? etc.

only tried dinner lady lemon tart which is 20mg and very smooth.
in a subtank at high wattage you will get a head rush so better for mouth to lung at lower wattage.

I use them along with regular nics. Are they better to stave off the cravings? Not sure! Because you can get them at 20mg they are stronger than the 18mg and that may play a part.

I experimented with 20mg salts and 12/18 normal juice and I can’t tell any difference in nic hit.

If I’m busy and can’t vape much I’ll make sure I have 20mg salts and that sees me through. But I can also get by with normal nic too.

I know that’s not helping but I’m just not convinced they provide anything extra and this is coming from a recently quit smoker.

My advice is to try a bottle and see!

Ohm brew do some nice ones and I’ve been very impressed with the Dr Salts menthol.

Salts are definitely a lot smoother so if it’s a high nic you need but don’t like a throat hit as much then they could do you if you are a mtl tooter!

More instant hitting but lasts less time(the effect drops off sooner), it's a quicker/more-instant hit vs a prolonged slightly weaker hit of nic.

Taste wise, i can't tell any difference, it's all just juice, just less the weeks of steeping with shots vs salts. I like salts just fine, but i prefer longer lasting nic hits over quick fixing on salts, both taste much the same to me though(experiences may vary).

Use what works though, if you like heavy hitting vapes, go with that, whether it's high PG(for the throat hit) or nic salts(for a quicker nic hit) or both, use what works(scratches the itch and keeps you off the nasty stuff) and you'll move on from it as your taste buds and body adjusts over the next few years.

I find it’s not as effective as regular nic at the same strength. The only advantage is you can puff it at very high strengths if that’s something that appeals.

Different people seem to have different experiences, so there my be physiological or psychological factors, and variation between different brands.

Yep, I use 20mg, 35mg and 50mg. The 20mg isn't any more effective than 18mg regular nic but it's a lot smoother and nowhere near as harsh. The 35 and 50 obviously hit much harder and give an instant hit. Still smooth tho and unlike regular nicotine at that strength - it's still a pleasant vape.

It’s interesting, I’ve almost given up on the salt, have been puffing 24mg standard nic in my pods and find the throat hit excellent. I think I’m developing a tolerance!

Yeah, regular nic is a lot more tolerable in pods. Because of the smaller coils I think. In a rebuildable mtl rta it's too much for me tho. I use the 50 in pods exclusively and the 35 and 20 in various devices.
