Sounds too simple. But have you cleaned the flush nut and it’s female?
My BB was hopping ohms, on certain tanks. Cleaned both and it fixed it.
Initially I was convinced it was a coil short. just like you.

Hiya mate I've fell out with it lol I'm going to have another look in a couple of days when I get a spare moment FFS it's so small going to pick a magnifying glass up because these size ten hands are bloody useless with small stuff I'll let you know
