Hi apes,

I recently got a vt75d and really like the form factor for a dual 18650 mod.

I am having a bit of an issue and wondered if anyone might have some suggestions to help. The fire button is getting stuck and constantly firing. I have to press the button in a few different places to get it to stop. I have contacted the seller, but wondered if anyone knew of a possible fix I could do myself rather than the hassle of sending it back.

Many thanks
Zippy

I received one of these two days ago and I like it. I would say that the fire button is the only thing that I don't like so much with this mod, it is a little bit too easy to fire and has some play in it, so yours is probably getting stuck under the body of the mod and because it's so small and precisely built I can't see any way you will fix it yourself. So not much help but I think you have taken the correct action in contacting the seller.

short of taking it apart and modifying / changing the offending parts, there's not much that can be done. Probably best to send it back

If you are still having problems and want to open it up I came across this youtube video, it's in Russian but easy to follow.

Thanks for the heads up smpl. I've one on the way for review. I will strip it and look for a simple fix.
Shame as it's a lovely looking mod and hcigar are usually very good.

I've done a variation of this fix on Vt75d.

I was having issues with the fire button crimping the top of the ribbon cable on the screen. Disassembly is easy, I found the best solution was to use a "sellotape sticky fixer" (Amazon product ASIN B005AU0RVW) between the back of the screen and the ribbon cable and a couple of small pieces of electrical tape along the top of the cable near the button then reassemble everything. Haven't had any issues since.

One other thing I would point out with this mod is that the battery compartment is extremely tight, too tight in fact! Don't use battery's with thick or double wraps because you'll never get them back out without pulling the mod apart again. Also make sure your wraps are absolutely pristine because you don't want them shorting out on each other in there either.

The batteries are tight, I'm using vtc 6's and they're okay but I can see others could be a problem.

Mine is still okay, I posted the link for the op in case he was still having problems, also it will come up in searches. It's a ggod mod imo nice and small, opening the battery door though....
