You'll still need the coils to be square to one of the faces though? Which could lead to (sit down this is a biggie for some) ..... a gap between the atty/mod

The base & square body stays still, the top section & afc sits inside & you turn that to adjust the air flow. The coils are always in line with the air holes.
Like the mutation-x & a few others.

You screw the base down and the 3 posts are parallel to what? They are going to need to run parallel to something no? If not parallel how will the atty sit square.

Right, gotcha. Yeah i think this is where adjustable 510 connectors come in. With one on the atty you ought to be able to make it sit square. Some extra pissing about but still do-able. I asked myself the same question when i first saw it.
