What's new

Hello everyone, it's hard to vape in Europe

Welcome to the forum.

Some people have imported 72mg nicotine salt from outside Europe, but it seems to be a grey area as to whether or not it’s legit to do this. I’ve not tried the juul but it seems to me the key to it’s success is the high strength salt liquid. There are many refillable pod systems that perform very well and allow you to fill them with liquid of your choice.

Hi Zouzounaki and thanks for the reply

Yes I have been importing 72mg nicotine base from many places as well. That was before TPD was in place. But now its illegal and if nicotine is mentioned on the package it will be rejected by customs. Concerning the Juul, its a great little device and the high nicotine strength is definitely one of the reasons to its success. Adding to that is its simplicity of use and discreteness. I know many people like to chase the clouds. I liked it too but its not a really practical way of vaping. And yes there are many nice pod systems available. Problem is that I'm only allowed to buy 20mg nic salts instead of the 50mg I use...

It may be that the customs are a bit stricter in your region @umbre18 , there have been a couple of debates on here around the legality of it, I know there are people in the uk that have been doing it.

Hi Deaf Vaper and thanks for your reply.

Yes, Belgium is quite strict for sure. No online sales allowed, max 10ml bottles and max 20mg nicotine (which screws my way of vaping). I hope the UK will loosen its laws ones Brexit happens. I was surprised actually that the UK applied the TPD so thoroughly as it seemed to be the most vaping friendly country in Europe.

Have a great day Deaf Vaper!

Thank you!

TPD serves only the tobacco companies as i see it, they're trying to protect their business interests, it provides no benefits to vapers. TPD was introduced when they realised the impact vaping was having worldwide. I'll be a happy man when tobacco gets the heave ho for good in the UK and elsewhere, but that maybe some way off yet..maybe not ever.

I voted to remain in the EU, just because i thought it would be better for the UK to maintain an involvement in European politics..but we're leaving (well...I assume still...hard to say, given the mess it's caused over the last 2 years!), so, maybe dumping TPD will be of some small positive advantage, should it happen. Just depends what exactly what effect this deal that our PM is trying to force feed us, will have on the UK, should it be sanctioned. I still don't know what Mrs May controversial deal comprises of exactly!
