Hello ok at last i have the Hana dna30 Box Mod to test.
I have been sent a test product so please note it is only a test product and has not been finished with anodizing and logo's.
I want to be as open and honest about this product with my customers and fellow vapers because with it being an electronic device there is a lot that can go wrong, i don't think any other vendor would care as much as i do about this one particular mod.
Because its a clone of a high end electronic device i want to be 100% happy before i sell it.
Firstly let me point out that as far as i am aware from my extensive research there is only one factory in china that actually makes the hana dna30 box mod, this factory we are dealing with direct, they supply all other companies in china.
The manufacture we get them from supplies companies such as cloupor etc..
Some of these companies that the factory is supplying are stating on there item description that the box mod runs the evolve dna30 chipset, this is a lie! they say this for marketing and promotion and it is false information!
Unfortunately some vendors in the uk and in other parts of the world are selling these and just using the information given to them by there Chinese supplier, e.g stating it runs an evolvedna30 chipset.
Now because we are actually dealing direct with the company that makes them and supplies all other Chinese companies we know that it is a dna30 chipset clone but possibly a very good one, I need to run some tests and im as new to all this as anyone so help might be needed by some fellow vapers with more of an insight into electronics that me.
on first impressions the build quality is very very good, it came very nicely boxed with full uk English instructions. no bad translation instructions woo woo!
It is made from 6061 billet aluminium and is very well machined.
The buttons are very nice and smooth with a smooth click action.
The screen display is clear and straight and identical to the dna30, the 510 thread is very smooth and so far has accepted all atomizers i have in hand to try. inside is very neat and tidy and the wire thickness and gauge is suitable for use no skinny wires here, soldering is clean and neat, there is a some hot glue but as to be expected to hold everything in place and its fairly neat.
So far i have inserted an efest IMR 2100mah 30a 18650 battery and been running it all day with a kayfun and a 1.4ohm coil at 10watts everything is fine as to be expected as this is relatively low power and not really pushing the device.
So far i have done some very simple and limited voltage and ohm tests, the ohm of the coil build measured on my usb ohm checker matches the reading on the hana mod at 1.4ohm this also matches the reading i get manually testing on the multimeter.
I have set the hana mod to 12.2watts and it tells me it is firing at 4.2volts, i then connected our inline voltmeter and this reads 4.16 volts so pretty damn close im certainly happy with that.
I repeated the same test at 30watts and the hana mod tells me that is 6.5volts, this is correct with ohms law. the inline voltmeter measured 6.32volts so again pretty damn close.
please let me know your views people as i really want this to work for all of us vapers i want everyone to be happy with what we sell.
