My opinion go into your nearest bricks & mortar shop.Buy an ego type battery and one of the popular clearomisers.I like theprotank mini v2.Get a small bottle of juice, full strength nicotine, any flavour that takes your fancy.
If it works for you then you will soon require another battery and spare coil heads. You will now have savings from tobacco to spend and the start of an understanding of vaping to make purchasing decisions on and you will always be able to use an ego and a good clearo even if it is a spare or backup.

Hi Phil
Welcome, I am in Boston. If I can help at any stage let me know.
If you are going for variable voltage then the MVP v2 is a good place to start. Lots of places sell kits with atomizers included.
Gaz

What shops do you use local gary ?

Cheers

Aloha man,

If your out and about all day with work I would suggest either (as people have mentioned) the MVP2, big battery, lasts ages, its about 10cm x 4cm x 2cm, will be smaller than your phone (thats without the tank (external threaded tanks work the best in my opinion (I use my Kanger Protank 3 with my MVP)) or get a starter kit with 2 ego batteries (900mAh are pretty small) and if you get micro tanks (1.5 - 3ml capacity) it can be very slim and easily pocketable (slightly thicker than a sharpie pen size). These are usually relatively cheap to get a kit with batteries, tanks and charger.

Liquid wise, try a local B&M (Brick and Mortar not the chain) store where you can take a look, try the flavours (usually) and get an idea of what you like. Testers are usually a certain strength (mostly 18mg) so if thats too strong pick a lower or too weak and go up in strength. Remember you are under no obligation to buy, you are simply testing the waters.

might help (it is ran by another forum but since most the ones in the north-east have been added by me i think its fair to use)

Good Luck and Happy Vaping

MVP2 is a good piece of kit, I've mentioned this before in another thread, I found that the Kanger Protank mini and Aerotank Mega dont get the best connection on my MVP as the pins are a little too far in (cab try pushing them out a bit but I wouldnt risk it for your first kit) but the standard ones do no problem

Before buying the tank put it on the MVP, press both the side buttons and check its getting an Ohm reading, that will show that its hitting the pin properly so you dont get one that doesnt fit

factor 2 or 3 tanks into your budget...no point getting one really nice tank then spending half the time wishing you had another flavour or 2..
it's really difficult to give specific advice as everyone has different vaping habits, the amount or type of cig's they smoked doesnt really seem to have any bearing on it either.

Some folk just get 1 tobacco flavour and just pick up when they need a nicotine fix.
I'd recommend starting with at least 2 tanks..one with a menthol/mint juice..the other maybe a fruit.
In my experience tobacco juices just end up at the back of the cupboard..
If your anything like me you'll eventually end up 5 tanks full of custard :-)

Hello mate and welcome to POTV you have been given a lot of very good advice there so far and in my opinion the best bit being if you have axes to a bricks and mortar shop that you can go in and try the setups and juices for free and you will no doubt find a setup and juice you like to start of with giving you the best chance of making the switch to vaping an enjoyable experience anyway nice to meet you and good luck with whatever you choose.
