What's new

Hello from sunny London

Welcome from Greenwich @Gerald Short

Like the Kate Bush / Wilhelm Reich cloud-busting avatar there.

Hope you find POTV helpful, must rush now I'm afraid, as I have to head out into the
desolate wastelands of South London to meet with the other members of my hunting party.

I lived down your way for a while in the eighties, on Blackheath Road.

I passed through there recently and I can't believe how much it's changed, but it's the same everywhere I suppose.

Welcome to the Planet. :D

I've lived in East London all my life, but unfortunately I have to venture south of the river to work, in Greenwich.

It sure has - mainly it's all being turned into ' investment vehicle ' apartments for wealthy people in Shanghai who never
actually come here so they can hide their dodgey money. Which is quasi-ironic when you consider where large
quantities of our income is ultimately ending up...

I live just about in Greenwich Town centre so there's a relatively advanced culture here, if only still pre-agrarian.

We were though, brave enough to visit Catford a month or so ago - the psychological scars are still healing...

Unfortunately, I'm responsible for the large heart shaped object hanging above one of the entrances to Greenwich market. Has it fallen on anyone yet?

Nice, I like the branding job - the market needs all the love it can get.

These ones? Unless I missed something new/ more complicated ?

Not those ones, it's a large 1.4 metre wide blue circle containing a red heart, above one of the side entrances, out on the street side. They had a green leafy one there for a while, but replaced it a couple of months ago with a wooden one I made.

Ah, that's why - I saw the green leafy one but have not clocked the new one yet
- have been v. busy/ in another work based reality - will look next time I'm passing. Cool.

Kate Bush is my heroine! Recently started getting back into vinyl and recently bought 4 albums from a record shop funnily enough in Greenwich [emoji23]
