What's new

Hello - NEW Mixer

Hello and welcome. You've probably heard this many times already, but just for good measure: get yourself some scales. Cheap ones will do as long as they're accurate enough. It's so much quicker and easier, you can just drip your concentrates straight into whatever you're mixing in (presumably a bottle).

haha wow great minds ( i started typing this - then got called away and came back)

OH BTW - WELCOME @lbil1419 :)

Haha - scales were one of the best decisions I ever made, so much time wasted with syringes, cylinders, and spills from removing the tips from concentrate bottles. The whole place use to look like a Year 7 chemistry lab, and took ages to mix anything to the point of forgetting where I was up to on a complicated recipe and just buying the juice instead! Mix by weight, bish bash bosh.

Also, similar to you, I also just got some cheapy scales and they're still going strong after 2 years

Hmm looks like I gotta get out the stone age and get some scales. Syringes suck! Sorry bad joke.

Hmm maybe I should try mixing by weight. I think I have a small digital scale lying about somewhere.

where would I get a converter for liquid volume-weight?

I use an Android app called E-Juice Lab to manage all my recipes and it lets you switch between volume, weight and percentage quite easily. The only reason why I still keep an Android phone in the desk

With the scale, it's important to have one that has 0.01 (100th of a gram accuracy) unless if you're mixing large batches and don't require that much accuracy.
