Yeah man! Me and a mate played it on MAME emulator recently. Two player. Man that game is short when you have unlimited lives. Never dreamed we could complete it in the arcade when we were 12.

Hehe yeah, I played it on MAME a while back, that was the only way I'd ever finish it! Damn fine game in its time & still playable now. I did own a golden axe arcade machine a few years back (along with 4 other machines) but didnt fully think through how much room they'd take up in my home!!

you ever played NARC? Came out a little while after golden axe, Sheesus even with unlimited lives it was tough, would've cost about £100 to complete it in the arcade!

the golden age of gaming, well for me anyway, even though the graphics now are incredible, there seems to be little innovation, just re-hashes of the same thing.

Wow, physical arcade machines in the home. Need a bigger home. Makes me think of that game room in Maniac Mansion - always wanted one of those.

I never played NARC. The name rings a bell though.

But of course, the golden age of, probably everything, has passed in terms of entertainment. Funny actually coz I've just this minute finished watching a documentary called 'The People Vs George Lucas'. Basically, if you were a kid in the 80s, you had it ALL. Video games, movies, Tv, cartoons. Good times

Heheh yeah, it was a bit mad with 5 arcade machines in the front room!
ah maniac mansion games room, yeah that was superb!!

NARC wasn't a particularly good game, lots of shooting drug pushers and blood and guts drew me in! so you didn't miss much, it is emulated on Mame if you ever want a look.

The people vs George Lucas sounds interesting, not heard of it before, but I'll have to take a look see, I'm a sucker for all things 80s!
