Hellvape Arez 120 mods

Yes I suppose I could, but all my rta's are coiled up the same and I just prefer swapping the mods over when I fancy a change, rather than recoiling them with lower ohm coils.
By the way I just did the scratch and sniff thing with the code on the box and entered the code on Hellvapes website. Both of them have come up as
genuine parts.

Something is seriously fishy with that spec sheet - if the max output is 3.7 Volts and the lowest resistance it can fire is 0.15 Ohms then the max it can achieve is 91 Watts so claiming 120 Watts is ridiculous, and their site shouldn't be displaying 9 Volts if there is a shite version being sold.

If they are genuine Hellvape products, then Hellvape are taking a giant shit on their customers - I would contact them directly to get a few answers.

Sorry about that @superram47 .... looks like they sneakily changed things up!

In the instruction book that came with the review sample the output voltage isn’t listed at all so I used the information posted on their product information page which still says 9v.

In my defense I did say it felt a little underpowered, especially with a weak battery, but yes if this is only outputting 3.7v then it’s not going to work for your style of vaping :(

P.S just tested mine with a 0.97ohm load at 58w...the live voltage display is showing 7.5v which is what it should be, bumped the wattage up and the max output I could get displayed was 8.4v.

The 3.7v quoted in the manual may be the optimum battery voltage which for batteries is 3.7v. Give one another test, the voltage display will change when you press the fire button to show the live output (the default “at rest” display is the current battery voltage)

Yes I will try and contact them and see what they say. Thank you for your advice mate.

Thanks for the advice @red5 , I will try that when I get home.
I really liked your review and do not blame you at all mate.
I will try a few different types of battery and let you all know the results.
Cheers mate

I very nearly bought a green one of these too and it was still on my list.
Not so sure now.

@red5
I followed your advice mate and used a new mollicell p42 21700 battery to test it. The display showed 4.2 volts to start and when i fired it it rose to a maximum of 4.9 volts. This was with a 0.70 ohm coil at 35 watts.
On my jellybox and aspire mods, the voltage rose to 5.25 volts and the hit was much more instant.
I agree with your findings about it feeling very underpowered, and that is with a brand new fully charged battery) I do think that it will work better with different builds ,and maybe someone else will find it better suited for their own style of vaping.
I will be closing this sale as it doesn't feel right to charge someone if they have the same results as me.
With that said @StrawberryRipple and @Crispycritters I would like to post one each out to you both free of charge, and hope that it suits you both better than me. If you would like one, just Pm me your address and I will get them sent out on Monday as I am working all weekend.

Thank you all for the good advice
Cheers

How noble of you pm incoming.

@superram47 You could try raising the wattage and ignore the voltage.... adjust to taste.
I reckon you need about 8 to 10 % more than you think to get what you expect so you’re going to need about 38w.
