Every so often I am getting atomiser short with my cuboid. When this happens I notice it shows both battery indicators as empty even though they are not. What is the cause of this and is it safe to use?

Thanks

Check the 510 on the atomizer you're using. Every time this has happened to me the pin has been loose.

Would that cause the cuboid to show empty batteries? When it did this it wouldn't turn back on as if the batteries were dead. I took batteries out and put them back in again and its working. But noticed a couple of times the last few days it would say the same thing with empty batteries then I would fire again and it would work. Batteries are quite new btw.

Have you cleaned the terminals in the mod? Is the battery door secure? What batteries are they?

I was told that atomiser short will also show low battery for safety. So I am guessing a dodgy connection. Batteries are samsungs.

Could be one of 2 things:

Coil issue, or dodgy 510 connection. If it was low batteries, it would say that on screen. Atomizer short is down to the atomizer, either coil not secure (i.e. in an rta/rda), or something shorting the positive and negative within the atomizer.

Dodgy coils (especially diy rebuildable ones) exhibit this behavior too. If you are using a rebuildable tank, check the coil is secure and the grubscrews are not loose. Replace the coil if necessary.

Anything battery related, the Cuboid will tell you if it is such as weak battery, Imbalanced batteries, Charge Error, or Check Battery.

I shall keep and eye on it. Using the kanger mini with occ coils at the moment. Don't remember it happening on the griffin so could be a dodgy connection I guess.

Cheers

Earlier Kanger tanks exhibited this exact problem. You might find replacing the coil will resolve it completely, or you may find the Kanger tank base is faulty (depending on how old it is, early ones had loose bases)

Its one of the newer ones with the rba plus deck. If it is the tank I have a few more to fall back on.
