I recently brought myself a snow wolf 200 along with a tobeco turbo dripper, and built my first coils yesterday however today I decided to change them because they were not very tidy,
So I made so really nice coils for an amature haha and decided like everyone says to check they were glowing evenly after about 3 seconds the caught fire with no cotton or juice just coil and this was only half battery power. What have I done wrong?

What type of wire ? ohm reading ? and the power you are at when trying to dry burn the coil at ?

Would need this info

For all we know your at 200w trying to do it :D

It sound slike your wire was coated with oil and it ignited when you dry burnt the coils. You should only dry burn at about 10w or so anything above 15 will mean the coils glow like a lightbulb which is not good for them.

Can you tell us what wire you used, the resistance of the coil etc, it's all info wee need to try and work out what happened...

I'm gonna take a punt at 100w dry burn 'only at half battery power'

Not to sound like a bell end but theres loads of posts at the mo' about newer guys running around with snow wolves, pics of iffy builds and odd battery questions.

Its all a bit of a worry.

My advice is slow down, stick around and absorb as much of the good stuff from the site as possible.
