Help need in buying my first mod

Hi all the experts out there
As you will see I am a newby to the whole vape thing. X smoker. a Friend of mine brought over his Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen 2 with a Authentic Digiflavor Pharaoh RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer and some diy mixed liquid. I really enjoyed his setup. The question I have is: Where can I buy a similar mod with similar RTA at a reasonable price as the different shops webpages can be confusing to say the least. I do not know what RTA will fit on what mod etc.etc. Not sure if I need additional coils, batteries etc.etc. The liquid, what to mix whith what to work on what atomizer etc.etc. Some kits comes with batteries, others without. The whole things can be confusing to say the least.

I live outside the UK so will have to import all the stuff, and any advice would be appreciated. Obviously budget is always a limitation, but something similar to the above mentioned with the neccesary spare parts with some liquid (premade or diy)
His setup is quite old, so i assume newer kits are available.
Any advice or online shop suggestions that can sell me all the stuff I need.

Hi man, welcome to the planet.

Your mate has shown you a setup that's not really suited to a beginner, with an RTA setup you'd need to know about coils, wicking and such - a bit of a faff for a newbie.

Now the good news, mods (the bottom half of the setup - a Releaux in your mates example) all use a standard 510 connector so all top sections (be they RTAs, drippers, stock coil tanks) are compatible so what you buy initially can be matched to different setups.

For a beginner, if you want a tank setup (rather than a pod system or all-in-one device) i'd recommend the Aspire Revvo tank. It uses pre-made coils with built in cotton so you just pop a new one in as and when you need it (typically 5-10 days). For the mod, that will depend on your budget and what looks good to you.

Ok now the juice, again not to confuse myself I would rather ask than try and sort it out myself. What exactly do I need? I see flavouring, concentrates, VG PG etc.etc. I can experiment with the flavours but what mix between VG and PG do you recommend? and also looking for a very week nicotine content. some guidance on how and what to mix or do we nowadays get them already mixed? I do not mind experimenting with different flavours etc, but read that certain tanks can only be used with certain liquids.
Sorry if the questions might sound trivial, but your help would be appreciated. Any online shops that I can get all the stuff I need without having to order at a few different places? I have been looking at www.vapebargains.co.uk

Revvo coils come in packs of 3 and you can get them from pretty much everywhere - even Amazon has them. I'd recommend grabbing up a couple of packs to start with. I tend to bulk order from FastTech in China.

I know quite a few people rate the Tesla mods, not got one myself. I rate Asmodus stuff myself, I've had a Minikin for a long time now and it's never skipped a beat.

I wouldn't start off mixing your own juices just yet mate, keep things simple till you hit your stride. Shortfills would probably be your best bet - they're larger bottles of juice with no nicotine, and then you buy a nic shot to top it up to the strength you want - if you want to keep it down you want 3mg strength.

I would say the first question should be determining if you need a Mouth to Lung or a Direct to Lung tank... Do you currently smoke? Best way I can describe it is:

MTL (Mouth to Lung) is most like a ciggy, or to non smokers like drinking juice though a straw... You have to pull the vapor into your mouth through a pretty tight airflow then in a 2nd step, inhale down to your lungs

DTL (Direct to Lung) is one step inhale, like inhaling a helium balloon, just a big, very airy inhale straight down

Almost every tank is design for either one of the 2 above options so you need to know what style you want to do first, some people prefer different styles of vaping.
