Right you bunch of good folk on POTV.
My head is totally confuddled by small bits of electronics. I am someone who doesn't know a resistor from a capacitor.
Can someone please help me with a basic shopping list.
As It will be a first attempt I don't want anything to complicated, just want it to be safe to use.

I have a tin, a soldering iron and a glue gun. I have the space in the tin to use two 18650 batteries, but will probably only use one, just to give my sausage fingers a chance.

So there it is............Please help

For basic tin mod

510 connector - http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/electr...arts-battery-connectors/510-battery-connector
Horn Button - http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/electr...itches/black-pushbutton-momentary-horn-switch
Wiring - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10m-16-0-...al_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item35c0ecd923
Single 18650 Battery case - http://www.leisureliquids.com/vaping-accessories/general-accessories/18650-battery-box-holder

You can probably get the single battery holders on Ebay too, but I use trusted vendors and stock up when I need other items :D

If you have an unloved ego battery you can reuse the ego/510 connector. Just gently pull/wiggle it until it comes free and snip the wires (being careful not to let them short against each other)

Same here fella. Ive got my stuff ordered and waiting for it.
Ive got:
Soldering iron and solder
Glue gun
Tins
Wire
Rocker switches
Push on switches
Rotary multi tool
510 connection
Battery holders

Also couldn't help myself and am thinking ahead and have led volt readers, potentiometers and USB charger boards coming for the next build.
The important thing is to understand amp limits so make sure your wire and buttons can handle a decent amount of amps or they'll get too hot.
Good luck

Cheers fella, you're a gent.

I have a spare ego battery but I'm saving that for a wood mod. I have a little lathe, and intend to make a sleeve for the ego.....eventually.
