Help please! My smyrna 1 keeps shorting!

Hey guys, im an intermideate user, and have decided that Mechs are the way to go for me, after a rough start with them. I bought a smok Tele and it burnt out within three hours of using it.... but thats a different story.
I have gone on and got a Sigeili 19, which is great and works no issue at all. the went on to make my own, again no issue at all.
I then purchased a Smyrna 1 from a classified, which was a big step as even near half price was quite a splurge.
now here was the rub, In its totally assembled form it shorts and gets damned hot....
Take the top cap off and it works fine. in the pics youll see what i mean. then there is a pic of the top cap completely dissassembled, and then the whole thing dissassembled.
I think its a fault in the top cap assembly, and the only vids i have found so far are in german or polish, both of which i cant understand at all. s and so i ask you guys,
Any thoughts? when i stripped the top cap down i saw a LOT of juice in the 510 connectors (all 3!) but never had that short owt before on other mods. im stumped.

Nice bit of kit you got there, by deduction the top cap is favourite, does it short with the atty not attached ? If it does gotta be the top cap. If its only with the atty attached have you tryed a different one ? Check the centre pin is not being deflected to the body as you attach the top cap/atty ?

Yeah only when the atty is attached. ive looked in a bit more detail and i think one of the insulator collars is a bit duff. not sur eon extraction and replacement tho.....
and thanks it is a crackin looking mod and when it does work its ace, its just that bloody short issue thats bugging me now....

Sounds like that could be it . Is it the one that insulates the centre pin ? if so it should screw/pull out insulators are available for the ggts for around £3 if they are same size. Could you post a pic of the insulator you think it is, either in or out of the housing

Is that the connector peices, to give a flush 510 connection at the top of the top cap ?

I'd have thourght a combination of 510-ego and 510-510 connectors should do the trick, but its knowing if that combination will give the right lenth, looking at the first pictures it does look like that.

Turns out its the same mod as the MKB-TS, diffrent names for diffrent countrys, and yes a 510-ego and 510-510 will make it fit. If it's the ego-510 you think is the dodgy one ive think i have one if you want it drop me a pm and I will post it on
