Help please..

A quick google shows the recommended mix ratio for Pope & Brewer's strawberry and banana concentrate is 15-20% so it would be worth upping it from the 10-15% you're using. It's also a good idea to make a smaller quantity to test what suits you best.

almost 70, so a yougster amongs old farts on here :D

Ive never used mmv but they are on my list of suppliers recommended by other members on post 6 POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

As Netvaper said maybe worth upping the % a bit.
we always suggest make a few 10ml bottles at different strengths to see which tastes best.
i tried and failed mixing big time when it came to single flavours so would buy one shots that are pre mixed with multiple concentrates fro 2-6 flavours and just nic/vg/pg needed.
maybe a cheap set of scales maybe worth a try to get the exact amounts.

Pope and brewers strawberry and banana. Capella vanilla cupcake and vampire vape strawberry milkshake. I also wondered if the nicotine mite be too high also and taking the flavour away..

As others have said up the concentrate to at least 20%, make smaller batches 60ml even, I find most strawberry when DIYing fades quickly, I would never make 100ml of a strawberry

Hi @tinnietel, pleased to "meet" you. An almost-old-timer here (half a century).

The ratios I see recommended (in various places, 5-15%) never seem to cut the mustard for me. I seem to need 20-30% of concentrate in a mix before they taste similar to commercial premixed juices. Maybe 35 years of smoking golden virginia has damaged my tastebuds.

Your current nicotine level is quite low IMO. Of course, if you're happy with it, that is fantastic! But if you're feeling that you're missing a bit of throat hit, or satisfaction, it might be worth trying a bit more. I saw somebody saying that yours worked out as 1.8%, and I would say that average strengths would be 3-6mg for DTL (big clouds) vaping, and 6-12mg for MTL (cig like) vaping.

I started vaping with no nicotine at all, and stayed like that for almost a year. Then one day I tried a vape from my friends device, that had 12mg in it. Oh my god, the difference was night and day. It felt so much more like a proper smoke, and I was converted. Sadly, because it's be great to be on 0 nic. 😭

Edit to add: I agree with the others, small batches are king when trying out new mixes. It's so much easier, cheaper, and less wasteful, I feel happier to experiment more. For totally new flavour mixes I go even further and wick up an RBA and taste the mixes as I go along.

Good morning and thank you for your message. I have learned a lot the last couple of days since finding this site and even more since reading your message. Yes I've always used 10-15% concentrate on 100ml of mix so now I'm going to try a 30% on my next mix. I wondered a while ago about my taste buds as like you I was a GV smoker for many years. I've also learned that shaking the mix does make a big difference. I am a DTL vaper and been vaping for nearly 3 years now and know the one thing I'll never do again is light another ciggie.. I'll leave my nicotine as it is for now but should I wish to up it in time what would you suggest in a 100ml mix. I use a 10ml bottle of 18mg at the moment. Many thanks for your help. Happy vaping..🤗

i only buy ready made now but in a 100ml shortfill bottle i add 2 nic shots to make the final mix 3mg nic strength and ive stuck with this for 10 years using DTL.
started on 18mg and after the first ever sub ohm tank came out i dropped to 3mg a couple of months later.

also if you are using the same flavour since you started vaping you could have a touch of vapours tongue which can affect you using the same flavour all the time. luckily not affected me as my main intake is custard all day but in between ill have a good few puffs of fruit or backy and it keeps my taste buds going.

Just a thought but I'm assuming you mix 70vg/30pg so if you up the concentrate to 30% and it's pg everything else will need to be vg. If you haven't check out an e-liquid calculator.
