What's new

Here soon .......

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this as very, very interested!!!

Right, I am going to jump straight into part 3, before doing Part 2, there is a reason, and will explain when I do Part 2.

Right, I decided to adjust this bit of kit to a dripper. Did I have any experience with dripping, NO and thats is what I wanted to be honest. I wanted to start with a clean slate on this. I wicked with the enclosed silica and wire and found it to be pretty straight forward, added my juice onto the silica, and vaped. Now I can see why people like dripping, the flavour seemed alot more intense than using a tank, and produced loads of vaper. This is when I encountered a problem. I thought I had flooded the dripper as I seemed to have a slight leak. If I am honest, I didnt know if this was my fault, or that of the AGI.

After taking it all apart, I could not establish if there was a leak, so I set up a little test.

I filled the dripper up with Liquid, and left it on a piece of kitchen tissue overnight (A period of 8 hours)

In the morning, I woke up to this: -

Now I got pretty excited, as this was still full, so I thought there was no leaks, but after cleaning the unit up, I was left with this: -

Please ignore any other marks, that is just the pattern of the kitchen towel, but where its circled, is the residue of the leak. Upon looking at the bottom of the dripper, it has leaked from both allen screws.

I must point out that the residue is not great amounts, and remember I filled this right up, and if used under normal circumstances there would not be this amount left after being used!

Overall verdict as a dripper.

Did the job really well, was pleasantly surprised with the vapour and taste, but dripping is not for me, but that is a personal choice and NOT a fault with the AGI. The slight leak, I would be able to live with. :)

Thanks Andy. Seems the leak issue is a feature unfortunately. See @ZTs review

Mark, yeah I saw it, and if I am honest, I was giggling to myself, as I did not think mine leaked. It is really a subtle leak, and if I am honest its bearable, if that makes sense. What will make or break thi unit, will be price, I am convinced of it. :)

Ok, the final part of the review!

As a tank, the reason for the delay in this part of the review is because I ran out of wire trying to SS wick this unit! The first lesson, is NOT to use the small piece that came with it, this just created hot spot after hot spot. I made a ss wick out of some 400 grade ss mesh that I had, thanks Woowoo :) This worked a treat with 0.2 wire. I had no issues with the negative screw, but what I will say, is you wont probably be able to use Kanthal Ribbon on this, as you dont have the distance required up the wick from negative to positive post. There is not much room to play with either, but I did find that when I used the different SS mesh, I did not encounter any hot spots at all :)

As for the vapour, I found this to be more than satisfactory, and the taste/draw from this unit was perfect. Was it better than the AGA-T2, hell yeah. :) Whilst I am a newbie to rebuildables, I have had no issues with wicking the AGA-T+ and AGA-T2, but I did find this a little more complex, and fiddly, but when I got it sussed, I did feel that it was worth it. :)

Summary

Is it better than a IGO-L & AGA-T2. Whilst I havent tried an IGO-L, I would say it was better than an AGA-T2. The leakage issue I encountered with this, was bearable, and I dont think there would be enough liquid left in the AGI (Dripper mode) overnight for it to cause me an issue. Whilst typing this, I have been using it in tank mode, and if I am honest, I am falling in love with it.

I think, at the price range, people will overlook this, and buy the IGO-L and AGA-T2, for one reason, and that is you get 2 shinys instead of one. That is a great shame, because I think the unique selling point of this product, will ultimately backfire slightly.

To me it is consistent, dependable and a solid performer, it does everything it says it will, is a product of beauty as well as being a 'transformer!'.

I personally cannot fault SaferCigs either, they are an awesome vendor, that is now 'bookmarked' on my PC, and I doubt I would of used them for sometime, until I reviewed this, but with the customer service that I have encountered, they are definately first choice for my next mod purchase. Kudos to Daz. :)

**EDIT** I am sending this to another member of this forum tomorrow for their opinion of this bit of kit :)

I hope you enjoyed reading these reviews as much as I did experimenting with this product :)
