Hi, I'm RZ! Pleasure to meet you all! I've been poking my nose about the forum for the past few days and figured it's about time I say hello.

A little about myself... I'm 23, living in Manchester for the past few years. I gave up cigarettes a little over a year ago now and have been vaping ever since. My move up in devices was slow - started off with a mini-battery type device with a PCC. It was a great kit and I stayed off of cigarettes which was the main thing. But slowly I got frustrated with the tiny battery life, the constant swapping of batteries and charging of the PCC and more importantly - the lack of power they seemed to have. From there I stumbled upon Volcano Ecigs and ended up buying their Inferno kit which I absolutely loved. So, so much better! It was at that point that I really became more interested in vaping and slowly got more and more interested in it, trying different things like clearomizers and dripping atomizers.

Pretty recently - thanks to finally having some money for a change - I made the step up to a variable voltage device again from Volcano: their Lavatube V2 kit! There was actually a lot of devices I was strongly considering, but with all the store points/credit I'd amassed over 6 months (I'm truly in love with their Menthol Burst liquid) I ended up getting it pretty cheap and couldn't be happier! (Sounds an awful lot like an advert at this point, but I do like their stuff~ :D)

Today I finally made a foray into rebuildables. I picked up and IGO-L and an RSST - both arrived this morning with silica wick, kanthal wire and some SS mesh to get me started! I haven't had the chance to tinker with the RSST yet but I officially built my first ever coil on the IGO-L the first time - which I'm really pleased about even if it is quite simple! Came out pretty high resistance at 2.9 (too many wraps I guess) but it's working well for me :D (May need to dig up a drill for the air hole though, after the airy draw of my Protank, the draw on it feels too tight...). I'm looking forward to building up my first Genesis atomizer next week on my day off and maybe try my hand at rebuilding a Protank head too~

When my budget restraints allow I'd love to get myself a nice mech mod. Some of them look stunning (if only they weren't always out of stock! D:) but I'm sure I'll unearth something I like and can actually readily buy in the hopefully-near future!

Forgive me for spilling my whole vape-life-story, I'm terrible at short introductions. I look forward to talking to and getting to know you all~ :)

Welcome to the planet :) that's the kind of intro we like, it makes it sound like you're in it for the long haul!

Firstly, welcome to the planet and see that shinyitis has well and truly kicked in :)

With the IGO-L try it for a few days before drilling the air hole, because after coming from a ProTank, near enough everything will feel tight. You are in for a real treat with the RSST, I think its truly awesome and has made me want a AC9 :(

Kanger Protank rewicking, brings a whole new experience to it in my opinion, the flavour is much more intense.

Some Mech mods are a steal at the moment, and both the KTS looks good (Have one on order) and the sieglei range are pretty good, I have the 19, and it performs really well. Both are under £30, and the 19 suits the RSST, but have to grind down the 510 connection to get a flush fit, unless you get the 19B :)

Anyway enough ramblings from me, pull up a chair, shout if you want any help or advice, and most of all enjoy your stay and your vaping journey :)

Welcome, definitely rebuild the Protank heads as the difference from the stock heads is night and day. Great intro btw :)

Great intro and well done on quitting!

I love the inferno hardware and juices too, it's where I went after the cigalikes :)

Thank you all very much for the welcome! :)

Yeah the Inferno kits are great - I have my batteries loaned out to some of my family at the moment, but I'm sure I'll keep them around as back-ups and when I need something smaller. I love my Lavatube, but it's definitely not pocket-friendly...

I've been using my IGO-L today at work and whilst it does still feel a bit tighter than I'd like, I am getting used to it. I may widen the airhole a bit more, but it's not too bad as-is. I think it was just the sudden change from the Protank last night that made it seem too tight.

Rebuilding Protank heads is definitely on my list! I have a pair of empty, stripped out ones that I saved for this very reason and if I manage to get them working well I may rewick even the unused ones~

The KTS and the Sigelei 19 are great recommendations - thank you! I'd seen the KTS before, but I'll have to look around and see if I can find the all chrome version rather than the mixed chrome/gold - more to my tastes . The Sigelei looks great though - I might see if I can get one of those soon along with a couple of 18350s so I can carry around a smaller device.
