With your first mod, as external batteries are involved, best get a kit, that means you'll get the batteries and battery charger, which'll also be handy for mods of christmas future.

I have just purchased a Vamo, from a vendor on here, and whilst I do like it in 'small mode' I do prefer it with a 18650 battery. The 'kit' does offer better value for money IMO, but if you already have all the other bits, then this could be a good cost cutting measure
