Hi just a quick introduction. I am a long time vaper but basically had a run with mouth to lung ecigs for a year or 2 until I purchased an Ijust 2. And found sub ohm was for me.

I had it around 6 months until my wife got me a Pico with a melo 2 mini tank. I used that for like 2 years broke about 7 glasses in that time. But it was a really good little mod. I dropped it in a whole bucket of plaster at work took it out and ran it under a tap and it still worked after drying out. But I decided for a change and I had decided on a smok alien with a baby beast tank. I ended up ordering the wrong one and got a T priv. I decided to keep it as I had broken my glass again on my pico. I'm not too impressed to be honest. The first 2 coils (Q2 tpd) gave me bad dry hits with only like 3 second pull at 38 watts. I'm sure the added metal causes wicking problems as bubbles get caught in front of the wick ports.

Anyway so I got some t8 coils and they are better (so far) ..

I have one issue though. In the time it took to get my new coils delivered I put my broken melo tank on the t priv. I didn't realise how bad it would leak out the bottom but pretty much 2 or 3 ml of juice leaked and went inside the mod. It got in through the gold pin I'm sure of it. I turned it on and got "check battery" and when plugged in the right hand battery indicator was flashing 99% 89% 78% 99%, I swapped the battery's round and the same right hand side was flashing. So I stripped it down as much as I could (can't get the top screen off I don't want to damage it I think it's glued) and juice was covered under the plastic on the white light defuser thing. I took it all apart cleaned it and kind of prised open one side of the top panel and left it by a heater to dry off.

I tested it and after a few hours drying it worked. Until this morning. I charged it a bit (maybe 45 mins) took it out n when I tried to turn it on. Check battery again. I've done same thing stripped it down n left top open. But I'm sure there's juice touching one of the battery connectors but I'm no expert. I got no idea if it'll always do this now? I've had it working fine for like 8 hours after I stripped it. Anyway sorry for the huge post I don't know how better to describe my problem??

Regards, Bish

Hi and welcome to the planet :)

I'm no expert so can't help you, but someone will come along and probably help.

I'm always dropping mine but the S22 is unbreakable! Can be used for DTL or MTL. I'm a fan lol :D

Welcome to POTV @bish186

I know things like mods are expensive to replace and you have enough skills to take one apart by the sound of things. If you need to keep opening it up and drying it off it may be getting to the point where it is dangerous. Get a new or newer mod when you can then you can delve further into this one and maybe find the gremlins you have inside it. It's a moisture issue for sure by the sound of it. Unlike water though it may be a lot harder to dry out/ evaporate eliquid ingress.

Hi and welcome. Good luck on finding something indestructible
