What's new

hi, vapers. recently bought the furyan mech squonker from steamisland.

One thing I did notice, was the uneven surface on the small round contact, which is the inner part of the button. I lightly sanded mine to remove some of the pitting. It may have contributed to the improvement of mine.
I think mine is the same, so I think I will try that on mine. Can I ask what battery you use in yours. I am using a VAPCELL INR21700. 3750mAh 3.7V. 24Amp max continues discharge. I'm using the coils that came with the furyan which are 2.2ohms. I think the battery is not enough for the coil. If so, can I fit a coil to fit the battery I've got or do I need to buy a different battery.

2.2 ohm coils that came with the furyan?

My apologies, they came with my recurve.
That makes more sense. 0.22 Ohm tho I'm gonna guess and not 2.2 Ohm.

I'm using the 30T in mine with no problems. Best 21700 battery for low builds.

Can I ask where you got that from. And am I safe using the one that I am using already.

Hi Gary. I'm currently using a .21 coil, which draws 17 - 20amps (3.6-4.2v), and is powered by an INR21700T that I got from fogstar.co.uk (highly recommend). It's a 3000mah 35a cell that lasts 1 to 2 bottles before I change it.

While your cell has more mah, and on paper is above the max discharge for your coil, I feel it's a little too close to the max 24a of that cell. It's probably still safe, but I usually like a bigger margin.

I think foggy has even better 21700's, but I don't need any more atm, plus my budget is a bit tight too :)

Thanks for that I will check them out.

Now that there is a 40T available in the UK would the Samsung 40T not be better for a .22 coil then the 30T? I know it’s ‘supposed’ to last longer overall but it’s confusing as you have to then think about Sag (and I have no idea when this kicks in on both batteries).. So which battery REALLY is best / longer lasting for the Furyan with a Recurve ohming at say .20-0.22? After all, with a mech you can’t really see how long the battery is lasting so really need someone experienced and someone who actually used this combo and tried both batteries (which apparently are the best now for 21700 size) AND a mech like the Furyon AND a .20-.22 coil to answer this. Can anyone help?
