hot battery?

Hello night owls

The last few hours i have not been able to use my big battery as its been getting hot, hot enough that it caused my mod to get hot! For safety i took it out let it cool and trying it before ive turned in for the night it instantly got hot, again heated the mod but didnt work to vape on it.

Ive swapped to my mini battery and run the sig as i havent got a stealth nemi yet.

Ive also had a rank taste in my mouth like metal since.

The juice hasnt changed from what i was vaping all day, ive switched back to a vivi on the sig but cant shift the nasty ass taste and has spoilt the last few hours and my drinking enjoyment.

Obviously im not gona start pratting around with anything now but im just looking for ideas to try and sort it when i get up.

Im also bit peeved ive screwed my battery up.

Chain vaper but not had a problem like this.

Ideas on a postcard for me to try later?

Tried the vivi nova but it wouldt do anything
Put vivi on sig and it was fine

From what you're describing, it sounds like some kind of short?

Are there any signs of damage to the battery casing?

You say it didn't work to vape on.. do you mean that the atty isn't firing?

If so, try checking that the rubber insulator ring in the 510 connector isn't damaged.. if it's split, it might be allowing the pos and neg to touch and creating a short?

Did you buy your fogger from new? It sounds like a short to me and the fogger v2's had a problem that caused shorting.

If you haven't already done this then you need to take out the screw from the 510 connector on the fogger.
Have a look in your spares that came with it and find the smallest o ring. Put the o ring over the screw and put the screw back in the fogger.

Hot battery = Short Circuit. Make sure you've put the battery somewhere safe until you're sure it's cooled, then check your mod and atty for shorts. If you have seriously cooked the battery you may want to throw it away, and DEFINETELY throw it away if it gets hot in anything else.

Morning all

Quick update!

The battery and nem went to bed where its nice and cold. This morning i have checked the battery and compared it to the little one. Big battery is fine

Popped it in the sig and it works like a good en.

Inspected meni and he is fine too

Currently vaping on the nemi with the big battery, its not hot and fires up like normal

Fogger was previously loved when pruchased so i have no spares - will examine the fogger later and see what happened.
