Really? It's illegal to purchase and sell within the EU. He is not asking for advice on where to buy it. Can it really be illegal under UK law to discuss mixing it without discussing buying or selling it? We have members from all over the world who have perfectly legal access to much higher nic concentration.

No worries mate. Maybe just be a little bit more specific and say that discussions about where to purchase high strength nicotine isn't permitted so please keep the discussion limited to mixing. Or something along those lines.

Do I really need to use flavors or can I buy the flavors already pre mixed. For example could I buy a pre mixed 50/50 e juice with flavouring already added (0mg nicotine) and then mix half and half with a 50/50 nic salt concentrate or can I not do that? Thank you very much.

You could do the above, yes. Your end result would be a 50mg 50/50 eliquid, which is what you want. The only problem might be the flavours. The pre mixed liquid will have the flavour added at a percentage where it tastes good as it is - when you dilute the liquid by 50%, you’ll also be diluting the flavour. There’s no hard and fast rules with flavours though, you don’t have to use them at all.

I suppose if its a strong flavour it would be ok.

I liked liqurice flavour in my 1st ego vape pen but when I got my 1st mod and tank the flavour was to strong after awile so I stopped using it.
after awile with no liqurice the penny dropped when i was thinking of adding vg to a 70% pg liquid to make 50/50, what if I get liqurice in higher strenth ad some vg to lower the nic and flavour. done some calculations and now I add 4.5ml vg for every bottle of 70pg/30vg liqurice gets me the nic strength I want in 50/50 (or close enough) with a toned down flavour. and a bonus little extra liquid.

Thank you very much, I am very grateful to you, you've cleared everything up for me now. So I could make the liquid either way but the main problem is the strength of the flavour if I opted to make it the easier way. I suppose I could always buy some pre mixed 50/50 flavoured e liquid and also buy some concentrates in pg and try making it with both methods separately and see how it tastes. If I used concentrated flavours I'm not interested in making my own unique flavours, if the flavouring says Apple then I'd just put that flavour in and have apple. So that would make it easier as well I think.

You could use concentrated flavours that are already pre-mixed into recipes - known here as "one-shots". That way you can still have complex flavours like banana milkshake, banoffee pie, etc, at full flavour strength.
