How long does E-liquid 'keep'?

Just wondering as I wanted to order a ton of new flavours but I haven't even nearly finished my old flavours yet and I don't want them stuck on a shelf somewhere just to 'go off'.

Does E-liquid even go off? Does it have sell-by or use-by dates? Does it 'go off' or go mouldy etc? Or will it keep indefinitely?

Cheers :confused-new:

I have read that 2years is the given, a lot of liquids have a 2yr best before.

storage is part of the problem or solution depending on how you look at it. A cool dark place being best. Some people freeze their juice ;)

Perfect! Good news then, thanks!

Time to order some more then! :triumphant:

I keep my liquid in a cupboard out of sunlight (which can speed up oxidation and discolour). I've not had any 'go off' as yet.... probably because I tend to chain vape and go through juice before it has the chance to.

As for mixing supplies, I keep all my flavourings in the fridge, along with 100mls or so of nic base and keep the bulk of nic base in the freezer.

I have found that "extreme steeping" can make a big difference with some juices that you may not like or have had enough of. I've just finished a bottle of Britvapes Cafe Tabac that I had kicking around for over a year, and very nice it was too!

I put my extra juice in the fridge...

The enemies will be warmth light and air. Air because it allows oxidization, warmth because it creates chemical reactions and light because it can do the same. Basic chemistry stuff. So full bottles are best kept in a cool dark place and half full bottles best decanted into smaller vessels.

I was looking at the tomatoes and thinking.
Most of my juice is in a cool, dark cupboard, with some in the fridge.
My freezer is too small to fit a decent amount of nic base in but I heard it keeps up to 5 years if properly stored.
Pre-mixed juices can get a lot better with some time but there are more chemicals to react so I don't know if I'd go much over 'best before'. If they ever lasted that long apart from my old cigalike cartos and some PG Virginia I went off.
