How long to let a mix sit before vaping and how do you go about testing your mix?

I've opened my mind to a few new places to buy nic base and flavours thanks to PotV and I've just made myself a few samplers. I've been rather conservative with flavouring(I think) and made up some small amounts of 5% and 10% flavour in 80/20 pg/vg. I got 10-40, captain black, conspiracy and AB menthol from Leisure Liquids and I'm dying to try them but I'm wondering how long I should leave them before I get tore in?

The other question I had was the actual vaping of the fluid. Seeing as the mixes might be all wrong, pg/vg or flavour percentage and even if they aren't they are totally new flavours to me, is it a good idea to test them in a carto? My initial thought was a carto for each flavour, but that sounds really wasteful. Could I try a flavour in a carto, then vape out the flavour with some unflavoured juice, then fill it up with another new flavour? I would just like a clean run at any new flavours and I would like to avoid it being coloured by a previous flavour, at least till I decided if I liked it or not.

I should work on making my questions shorter and more brass tacks! Thanks all.

Different flavours require different steeping times so there are no hard and fast rules. I normally try new stuff straight away before putting away to steep. I usually try for at least a week but some flavours are fine from the start. Possibly not that helpful though as I haven't tried any of the ones you've got.

There are many methods you can use to steep your E-Liquid, by heating it very carefully in warm water it can't be to hot as this may degrade your nic content. Or personally I leave mine in a safe place with the needle top off to let air get to it and shake once a day, you will notice your liquid start to darken. I normally do this between 4-7 days.
As to trying your mixes you could use a dripping attie or something like a 510 attie as you only need a few drops at a time this makes them very convenient for switching between juices.

Hope this has helped. :)

I'm sure I have some old 510s kicking about and just dripping I might be brave and give them a go a bit earlier to satisfy the curiosity. It would give me a baseline to compare to them after they have brewed a bit. Cheers.
