How to remove C-clips without breaking them? And what to use?

I just went to give my COV Kindred V2 its first weekly maintenance, went to disassemble the switch, unscrewed the firing screw and came across my mortal enemy- the C clip.

This is holding the magnetic button together, so I need to get it off to clean the insides of the button. However in the past I haven't been very good with C clips and end up bending them.

What is the best thing to use to remove a C clip without damaging it? I cleaned all of the other threads and also the contacts but just can't get the bloomin fire button apart to clean it properly.

Any help would be much appreciated.

A c clip plier that is sized for the job i would think.
Something like this.
I didn't even know these existed till you just showed me, no wonder I was messing up my C clips before, I wasn't using the right tool!

I have two SMPL clones that I need to get the buttons working on again, god knows what I did to them but they just won't push to fire! I remember these had C clips so I have probably f*cked something up.

Not all circ clips have the two holes in them, usually a terminal screw driver job for POS clips.

Luckily this one looks pretty solid and has the holes in it- I did wonder what the holes were for but now know there is a special tool that fits these holes.

Whats a terminal screwdriver, ignore me for being dense here.
