What's new

I'll probably get shot for this...

What are you like with aniseed?
Been working on a mix for over 2 months, close to cracking it. If you want the recipe, let me know :)

I'm quite a fan of aniseed, but it doesn't really go with cider or wine or coffee so I don't vape it all that often. I tend to vape licorice, complex fruits and caramels. I want to try and make a few more savoury options too for my own interest, but for the stuff to sell I was planning on keeping it simple.
A blackcurrant or mixed berry
A caramel
A menthol
and maybe an RY4 and a custard, but those are risky as I don't vape them.

You should check out Chegs list of recipes on the "recipes that are good off the batt" thread.. There is a few with Aniceed and licorice added.

As above, I'd recommend trying each flavour as a single flavour to gauge the strength and wether they taste good or not. Start the percentages low and up percentages a little at a time to see where they taste best to you.

I buy a lot of concentrates trying to find the best of each flavour and find Inawera are generally the best for fruits but not all.

I'm happy to send you a load of samples of concentrates if you have some recipes in mind?

Thank you :) I had forgotten about that thread, I will have a ganders at it.

I am very early stages at this so I haven't even started compiling recipes yet. I have a confirmed request for a blackcurrant/berry mix so I guess that is going to be my first target flavour. I have some PG and VG on order along with some weird and wonderful concentrates for my own use. I reckon a trip to inawera is in order for the end of the month when I buy my nic.

If your still coming to the meet on the 11th we can have a good gas about concentrates then :)

Blackcurrant is one I've been struggling to find a good one for.. I've tried Inawera and TFA so far but they don't taste right to me.. I've just bought them from Decadent Vapour, flavourArt and Capella to try.

I have way more concentrates than I need so once you get an idea if what you want to make I'll send some to you.. It gets very expensive trying to find the perfect flavour if you're a fussy twat like me.

I know what you mean about Colonel Booms juices though.. I got a few (Ceasefire, Over the top and byjove) from a giveaway and love all three but I'm a tight twat and would rather try make my own similar one than buy them :)

Colonel Booms gets an order for Ceasefire and Blackpowder like clockwork from me. I love the stuff. I don't mind spending a bit on juice, I have a cost per ml that I won't go above, but fortunately ;) Blackpowder is just below it. This idea is more of a response to requests. People who have actively said they would rather buy my homemade than the Chinese generic stuff they are vaping at the moment.

Have you had any luck with any of the other berry flavours? Blueberry or Raspberry?

Capella Raspberry tastes lovely to me, I've tried 3 others. Blueberry is one I've not experimented with much although a recipe I vape a lot is one with Blueberry, Raspberry and Dragon fruit and I've been using TPA wild Blueberry for that which is quite nice, I'm not sure if that is the best Blueberry though.

It's a whole new hobby is mixing :)

imo selling to friends is the same as borrowing from friends or lending to friends, a bad idea.

I started mixing to suit my own tastes, though this resulted in friends/visitors to friends houses asking for a taste, then ordering 10-30-80 ml at a time which started to piss me off as I'd struggle to find the time to roll up the sleeves & go play @ the mad alchemist.I then started telling porkies,"can't have that juice as I've run out of such n such" and friends of friends not paying for juices just wound me up so much that I've ceased venturing in the kitchen to make more than an odd bottle or 2.The concentrates are there, just the inclination isn't.

The way to DIY nirvana is,look up clone recipe sites, mix them for yourself and IF you sell any, don't let anyone have bottles & pay you later(unless you trust them implicitly)

This will definitely be cash on receipt I learnt 20 years ago at Uni when I was a local source for tobacco that offering credit is the same as offering something free. The only effect it has is to spoil friendships. If someone is short I might give them something to tide them over, that's what friends do but I would never sell something on tick, it is a recipe for disaster.
