With most kits, after 5 clicks it will flash and turn off. After you can try to take a hit and see if it is actually off. It sounds like it wasn't off and it fired in your bag, burning the coil out.
How long the battery will last will depend on the size of the battery, the ohms of the coil (low ohms like 0.2-0.4 use more power) and how much you vape.
If the light is green that means it is fully charged. Charging with your laptop is fine.
50/50 juice is good for MTL vaping 1.0-1.5 ohms and 70/30 is good for DTL sub-ohm vaping, usually 0.2-0.7 ohms.
