In search of better flavour and nicotine hit - advice needed on vaping setup

Hi everyone, I quit cigs 6 years ago by starting vaping. First I used cig-a-likes then moved onto various ego vapes pens from jacvapour and others.

I had been using the JACVAPOUR SERIES-S17 TF for over a year but then saw the JACVAOUR SERIES-S22 TF. I liked the idea of more battery life and a more sturdy device so bought an S-22 TF kit.

I have had problems. Both of my devices leak from the adjustable air holes unless they are kept completely upright. If I put my S17 TF or my S-22 in my pocket when I reach for one of them- sticky vape juice mess every-time. I've tried everything.
New coils, changing coils at least once a week, new seals, different juices, making sure all joints are 'finger tight' as suggested but it's got so bad I can't take my devices out of the house and just do without as they will leak no matter what.

The device I use all day is the the JACVAPOUR S-22 TF with the 1.0 ohmn DTL coils and the liquid I'm using currently is V4 V4POUR apple/ strawberry/lemon lime/grape. all 18mg

It's not satisfying me anymore. I always seem to be chain vaping to try and get a decent nicotine hit but can never get rid of the craving like when I first started vaping. Also I hardly ever taste the juice flavours anymore just a dry mouth taste and all flavours end up tasting the same. It feels like I have out grown my S-22 TF

So now for your help please.

I've been looking at stealth/mini mods. I really want a setup that focuses on flavour of liquid and strength of nicotine hit and I think the extra power and control options may help.
I am not into cloud chasing at all and would prefer the device to not make me blow out massive clouds. Also I really want to try and find a tank to match the mod that is as leak proof as possible. I would like the tank to be easy fill at top and also have top airflow (if this cuts down on leaking).

Also I don't want to have to build my own coils. I want to bu them premade.

I've been reading reviews on
Innokin Cool Fire Mini – 40W – 1300mAh Battery
Innokin Cool Fire Pebble – 50W – 1300mAh Battery
SMOK AL85 Mod (Alien Mini)- 85W – 1650 Battery

I'm not sure what to go for, I like the design of the SMOK AL85.
Could someone please give me some advice and guidance on tanks/coils /juices that would suit my needs?

Regards, and thanks in advance for any help.

You can still buy premade coils for RTAS and RDAs m8. That's what I do. I've about five tanks and three drippers and just pop in premade coils as and when needed.

I'm sure the devices you've mentioned are fine but why limit yourself when you can get a really cracking mod and RDA if it's flavour you're looking for.

Check out the reviews for the smok coils you'll be using if you get that kit. I've a smok alien. Fantastic mod but stock coils are terrible so I use my own tanks and coils

Hi @Rickbrown and welcome to the planet.

ive got the S22 and its never leaked once. i think i also speak for the other 50 or so members who have not reported any leaks.

so ive never heard of that juice before so a quick google has i guess solved the problem. it is 60PG so quite thin juice https://www.eliquidworld.co.uk/e-liquid/V4-V4POUR/v4-apple-and-pear
the S22 coils can handle upto 80VG which is much thicker but i much prefer 70VG and my tank has stayed totally dry while on its side even with the air hole fully open.

so before you give up on the S22 i would try some higher vg juice.

have a look at a few of these to try some of thier juice before you fork out on some new kit. these are a few of the cheaper range out there.

Surely the issue is setting the mod down on it's side for prolonged periods of time right m8?

nope. the charge port is on the bottom of the mod so it has to be layed on its side to charge so a good 2 hours for a full charge. if its left on its side all the time then maybe that wont help but the thinner PG juice hes been using doesnt help much.
hes read everything and then gone off line so wont know until he comes back.

Thanks for the reply, I think I will be going for the SMOK alien. Could you tell me what tank or tanks you use with it.
Also you said about using your own coils instead of the stock ones. Do you buy those coils pre-made or do you make them yourself? Thanks again for the advice.

Thanks for that info. I'll try some thicker juice as the S-22 is a great device and I really want to be able to keep using it.

Being some one who's just been down this road .. get an rta . If wicked properly they don't leak very often and even then very little ..my kaees Solomon leaked a small amount for the first time in 2 days of using , but only because I brimmed it . I've gone evangelical for rta's because everything pales in comparison for flavour.. 70 plus VG .much cheaper to run a rta . Don't regret buying the expensive pre made stuff [emoji16]

I use a Griffin on my alien but I wouldn't recommend it as it's prone to leaking. It's my "out and about" vape so I'm happy using the alien and pairing it with the Griffin. When I get home I swap and change with my various mods and tanks. I use a Kylin, an obs engine, a troll and an ammit 25. All great tanks but I'm really loving the ammit 25. It's a single coil RTA and the flavour is fantastic. Suits me very well so I find myself using it more frequently. Really easy to build on and wick. Large juice ports and haven't had any leaking issues with it. For an RDA I'm using the dead rabbit and the pulse. Both 22 and 24.

I usually use demon killer coils but plenty of choice out there. They aren't fantastic but very handy. I make my own too when I get the time. Their is a guy on the forums here who makes really great coils. I've been using them lately and so much better. Hopefully someone could post to his URL as I'm on my phone but if not, I'll post later when I'm at desk
