Interesting cloud measuring method/ideas anyone?

I use a complex system of ropes, pulleys, anemometers, lasers and RH meters. Works for me.

Sounds like a good system for precise measurements.

I am only interested in comparative size/density.

My cloud measuring room is simply a bare dark room with a grid of led on one wall with a video camera facing that wall.
I blow my cloud between the camera and the wall then check the video for the frame at max cloudage the biggest/thickest clouds obscure the most lights. I found cheap led christmas lights more cost effective than anemometers and lasers.

i always recommend the method that uses a fishbowl, tin foil and a strobe light.

Can't beat 100% accuracy though eh.

Nice. I was thinking of similar, but just a kinda set of lines on the wall. Good call man.

That might work. If your lines looked sciency enough. Straight lines and concentric circles coming from the source. Interesting scales and Greek letters. Perhaps a couple of wave forms.

Sounds good

Ya.
A kinda "myth busters" style wall scale.

WE just need to come up with a measurement unit, akin to f1~f2 like the Beaufort scale.
'vapons'?
'hazos'?

Blow them into a balloon. Tie off balloon.

Slowly immerse balloon into a 2 gallon bucket of water.

Remove balloon from water and measure amount of water remaining.

Clean up spillage.

Rinse and repeat.
