Is it okay to use the ni80 core fused clapton with ss316l outer wrap?

I have just purchased the Kidney Puncher's ni80 square 0.4*0.4 and I have planned to create the Square Fused Clapton with it. By the way, as I mainly used SS316L for a while, so I only have the SS316L 36, 38, and 40 for the outer wrap.

The question is if I using the ni80 as a core and wrap it with SS316L would it be okay to dry burn it?, as normally we don't dry burn SS316L to grow orange like ni80. Will dry burning with ni80 method damage the outer ss316L wrap?

Anyway, thank you.

Yeah, if u r gonna dry burn it at all dry burn it to the ss316l, not the n80

Thank you for your replying!

By the way, what I understand is that, you suggested me to dry burn with SS316L way (very low wattage around 10-15 w in the dark room) instead right?

All dry burning should be minimal, even with nichrome. You're only looking to burn off any manufacturing residue and to find n fix hot spots. Excessive and repeated dry burning is not good and it will degrade the coil, especially with repeated rewicking and reburns, even if it's not visible to the naked eye. Low power and pulses. Only use as much as absolutely necessary to achieve your goal.

Yes, i mean, i agree with mitz. Some ppl say ss316L should be dry burned a little to anneal it (the raindow colors), but the reality is the coil is not getting hot enough for that to matter, except if u dry burn it, or maybe dry hit it really bad, but your cotton would be destroyed by that point.

If u r making your own wires just clean it with isopropyl first and try not to touch it too much and it will be perfectly clean

(I sometimes dry burn very slightly just to make sure there is nothing left, and to get rid of any isopropyl taste, if u see any grey ashy coating of any sort that means u went too far, the coils bad and unsafe to vape on)

Agree with all the above, gently does it, quick short pulses on all wires.
I always clean my core wires prior to wrapping.
Obviously not the 38-40g.
Surprised at how much Sh1t comes off the best of wires.

Thank you for all your comments.

That's was a great and interesting information. I thought ni80 was the type of wire that could be reusable the most, because most of people in my country tended to dry burn the ni80 fused clapton until it grow like this before first vaping.

Also when rewicking, they cleaned it by pulsing and dipping in the water, then reuse it for a month.

Same thing as ss316L, if whatever u r doing is leaving u with a bluish coating u r good. If it starts to look grey and ashy and u r vaping off it u r inhaling bad stuff.
