Hi Guys!

I wondered if it was possible to "over prime" a NEW coil by covering it in too much juice when priming it before first use.

The reason i ask is that my first coil i absolutley covered in juice.. i kept re-applying juice into it when it dried every 2-3 mins until it was saturated. The reason I did this was that the guy who was showing me how to vape at the time told me that

"You can never add too much juice to prime the coils"

but recently, i have had better experience with my 2nd coil (same coil type/ohmage etc.) after i only put 4-5 drips TOTAL to prime it.. and then left it for ONLY 2 mins.. maybe less before taking my first VAPE!!

Ive googled online and there doesn't seem to be a clear answer so i thought id create this thread so people can share what is the best way to get a coil ready for vaping! (and can you OVER-DO it)

Im using 0.5ohm coils in my Uwell Crown box mod (powered by my Snow Wolf 200w box mod)

Of course you can 'over prime' it. If you put in too much liquid then it'll just flood. If the coil is installed in the tank base then the juice will sit under the coil by the airflow holes, you'll have leaking and heavy spitting when vaping. It depends on many factors such as coil and juice but you want to prime it enough so that the cotton becomes somewhat saturated as it then finds it easier to suck up more juice once installed inside a tank.

I dont prime coils,

I just whale em in, wait a couple mins and break em in on low wattage for a few toots

I never prime the top of a coil, only the side holes.
