istick 20 upgrade

i have an old istick 20w. The 510 pin is broken and i was thinking i could replace it with a fat daddy 510 or similar.

I thought i could use the guts of the 20w and make my own box mod. Does anybody know if I could add a bigger battery or run 2 batteries using the circuit board & internals from the original 20w?

you could use it for a box mod, as for 2 batterys you could run in parallel (Series & Parallel Battery Configurations) to increase the capacity but you couldn't charge using the board could cause one of the batterys to become over charged and become a fire risk you need a balanced charger for more than one battery.
better off with a larger capacity battery you would need to double check what battery type is in it lithium polymer or lithium iron as the board will be designed for a specific battery chemistry its probably lithium iron but i'm guessing i've never striped one

Would be interested to know how you got on. Did you try it?.i opened mine and took the original battery out and was going to replace the battery but just have it sitting in a drawer at the moment . Must start doing something with it. The 510 on the 20w is rubbish. Didn't last me long either

No reason why you can't ad as many batteries as you like as long as they are parallel.
