What's new

It’s worse news than the virus....

I have actually got no idea what love island is (tho I can kind of guess from all the media I see about it)

I suspect heavily it is something I would hate with an absolute passion like all forms of reality tv from “big brother” to “strictly come Prancing” and that fecking jungle thing

I like master chef professional tho

Never watched Love Island. Was a huge Big Brother fan though ................. and actually I'd pay to see Big Brother under social distancing rules. :D

I’ve never seen it either actually, just seen bits about it in the media. I watched a couple of BB series before I got bored of the format. The one I know most about is ‘I’m a Celebrity ...’ because when I lived at my dad’s my stepmum inflicted it on us. I’m sure she only watched it for my reactions. I’d look up from my book and shout ‘Jesus Christ! He’s got a tarantula on his head...!’ or similar, and rush off upstairs

I watched the first series of BB as I thought it was an interesting social experiment as they had no idea what to expect or if anyone was going to watch it. After that it I didn't watch it. As for Love Island, if I want to watch young people acting like twats and desperately trying to hump each other I could just go out in Newcastle city centre on any Friday night.

I think I would have watched 'I'm a Celeb' ......... if it wasn't for all the critters. :D

I loved BB, even when the format got tired. All those people going in thinking they were going to 'be' a certain way ............. all those masks slipping ........... I found it fascinating. :8:

Yeah, it was completely fascinating in that way, I get what you mean. What turned me off it mostly was the feeling that some weren’t mentally strong enough to be there - that young anorexic girl Nikki firstly, entertaining to watch at times, but extremely uncomfortable at others.

It was. I remember her too, turned out that she lived round the corner from OH at the time, she survived. That was a bloody good year though.
