Hi Guys,

New to the forum and vaping (well a month in without Ciggies) Have a quick question if poss regarding my new itaste vv3 (think thats right) When charging it always seemed to charged to 4.2.. Over the last few days though it seems to only charge to 4.0/4.1.

Im wondering if this is a problem with the battery or fairly normal? I have a 2 month warranty on the battery (owned for a month) and am not sure wether to take it back or not :/

Cheers

Dont think its an issue. Even if it shows 4.2, that's only theoretical per my understanding. Its usually in the range of 4-4.1. Its capacity is 800mah and the more cycles u go through, the weaker the battery becomes. Think it shud last up to a year. Just hold on and the experts will come along to give u the right advice.

Can I ask how you know its charged too 4.2v ?
Ive had mine for about 6months and its now starting to die. Especialy over the past few days it seems or mu charge cable is knackered. It never fully charges anymore and I generally run it as a a pass thru, tjis could well have caused the problem though.

If you hold both buttons it shows ohms then charge. the green light / power cuts or it did at 4.2v when fully charged (it auto shuts down)

okay, i though that was the advised voltage for the head :stinker:.

seems with mine the charge cable is the issue. just charged it on mhy samsung phone charger and seems to be holding charge better.. give it the night and will let you know if it was

Chatting to a guy at work who has the SVP, said he has never had a prob charging to 4.2. Tbh it seems OK charged yesterday morning and lasted all day.. I reckon your right mv. Anyway he also mentioned spending 90 on a modded clearomizer.. Wow never knew they got that expensive!

Bit of an update, charged at work until full on USB via PC. Cycled home vapeda bit and its dropped to 3.7. Wondering if it may be caused by a) the cold b) possibly using the USB via pc . it has been fine in the past and was fine charging on the bb charger last night so a bit confused :/ any ideas?

Just did a little test around 400 puffs long and short and the battery changed to yellow ( did this over an hour) Haven't had any answers to my questions but what I have learnt is not to take 400 puffs! Lol. Headache
and lightheaded now. Neuroticism? I already knew that.. I think.. :)

Interesting you should say that. I find that if I use my GF's Samsung charger, until it charges to green, then turns off. The life is nearly twice as long as if I use the extending lead that came with the VV3.

The be all & end all is that as much as I like the VV3, the battery life let it down for me. Hence changing to the MVP2.

Dan!

Well, just used it this morning and it went from full charge to 3.6! Going to take it back today.
