One of the things to master with the Rose, is the height that the coil is above the airhole. The variation of vape is pretty tremendous, a mate of mine has one and I know that we are both using very different setups between us. For instance, my personal experience is that cotton, the Rose and my particular choice of liquid (Tobacco) just doesn't work for me. The best results that I get are definitely silica builds. I tend to run my Roses with the coil about midway down the ceramic cup these days, at first I was running it pretty high, which worked, produced a ton of vapour, but muted the flavour somewhat, so I started playing about with coil heights and found my personal happy spot.
Long before I had the Roses, I had a Fogger V4 and that was another device where I found the answer was getting the coils the right height. Amazingly, that device really suited having the coils well up away from airhole etc, so it taught me quite a bit so I was prepared for the Rose. I am really taken with them, hence having a Pair, yes they have their niggles and I will be very interested to see what version 3 brings to the table.
Keep experimenting because when you do hit your own personal sweet spot, you'll know all about it.
