Hi everyone, I have just got my hands on the Kylin tank from vandy and I love it. This is the first time I have built coils myself but I think I have done something wrong.

When I fire my mod I get no vape for a few seconds. I find I need to hold the fire button for about 5 seconds to heat the coil. I'm vaping at 60w and the coil is reading at 0.208 ohms. Here are some photos of the build. Have I done anything wrong? How should I figure out the watts I should be vaping it?

Have you tried turning the power up? That looks like a fair amount of metal you are heating up there, might need more than 60w?

I was a little worried about turning up the power too much, I'm worried about the mod getting too hot.

And yes there were some hot spots but I managed to fix them. Coil was heating up from the middle out

Sorry I'm new to building coils. Would this mean using different wire? Or less coils?
You can something like steam engine to calculate what you need. I used vape tool as I found it easier to use. Just plug in the info and it gives you expected resistance. You can then change any of the parameters to see how it effects the resistance, it also displays wattage suggestions. Includes an ohm calculator and much more.

Not sure but it might only be on Android
