Review Kanger Subtank vs Aspire Atlantis

Received my subtank a few hours ago - and I have been vaping on the Atlantis the last two weeks....

So how do they compare?

In my opinion the Atlantis has better flavour and makes larger clouds than the Subtank (both using the 0.5ohm stock coil). The gripe with the Atlantis is the small capacity (I need to refill four times a day), while for the Subtank its the size (although looks fine on my box mods, so not a worry for me).

In terms of build quality they are on par I think. I do get a bit drier vape from the Subtank compared to the Atlantis, and I think the Atlantis coil can take a lot more power as it wicks better. The airflow on the Atlantis is also better than the Subtank, as I prefer it wide open for lung hits...

The Subtank is quite good (better than the Aerotank mega), but not as good as the Atlantis.

If Aspire came out with a larger capacity Atlantis it would completely blow the Subtank out of the water...

Also, the wicking channels look quite small on the rebuildable deck for the Subtank - I have not tried it yet, but it looks smaller than on my kayfun Lite v2.... and the drip tip on the Subtank is definitely smaller than the Atlantis - just in case anyone wanted to know...

Good review, thanks. I'm happy with my atlantis but like you i need to fill it at least 4 times a day
so was considering the subtank.

I bought both the Subtank and Atlantis on Boxing Day from ukecigstore. I got a great deal under £35 for both, using the potv code, in the 24hr sale.

Having tried both back to back, I prefer the subtank. The Atlantis is great and I know if I didn't have the sub I'd use it all day, but for me it's a bit too airy in comparison. I only really use it on the smallest hole.

I'm using the sub on my new ipv mini, the tank size is great as 5ml lasts me all day. The size and form of the ipv mini means that you can hardly notice the overhang, due to the sub being 25mm, it might not suit other mods as nicely. Aspire have said on fb they will be releasing a 5ml tank very soon. So that will address the tank size issue, It will be an accessory only and won't come as standard. It's the same as the caged tank they do for the nautilus, so the look might not be for everyone.

I've only been vaping around 3 months and I'd like to have a go a building my own coils eventually, if I don't get on with coil building I've not wasted anything with the sub. I'll still be able to use the occ coils and it won't be just sitting on the shelf.

There's not a lot of difference in terms of flavour for me. In terms of weight the Atlantis comes out on top. I'd say to anyone wanting to buy one or the other is you really won't be disappointed with either, they're both great if very slightly different.
