Having bought the kayfun 3.1 a while ago from that well known Chinese money pit I decided to order a kayfun lite to compare the 2 devices. The KFL blows the 3.1 out of the water in terms of flavour and wicking. How can 2 devices that are essentially the same ( in my eyes anyway) be so different? I appreciate the amount of stuff FT manufacture and every now and then a dodgy item will get through but the 3.1 struggles to wick properly and the flavour is average at best. The KFL produces amazing amounts of vapour and the flavour is spot on. Has anyone else compared these 2 rba's and had a similar experience? Cheers pete

Although the juice channel sizes can vary from "clone to clone" I think, with regards to KF3.1 vs KFL, the KFL just has better air flow.

Ive removed the airflow screw completely on the 3.1 and it makes near as dammit no difference. Its the constant dry hits that are a pain in the arse.

In that case, there really are only two things that could be causing this. 1. poorly machined juice channels. 2. over stuffing with wick.

+1 on this.
Try a H Cigar 3.1es clone or an original. No problem with decent flavour or airflow. Yeh they cost more but to try and compare a poor clone with a good clone/original is surely a mute point?

dont f*****g talk to me about f*****g wick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive overstuffed, understuffed, watched videos til my eyes fell out and still the same result. great for the first few draws then dry f*****g hit. i have looked at the channels and think where they meet at the right angle it does narrow slightly and i generally mix my liquids VG heavy. it will probably end up in a drawer and put down to experience........:banghead:

What have you used for wick?

Removing the airscrew is only going to increase the likelihood of dry hits. Yes it will give you an airier draw but if your getting dry hits that draw is preventing any negative pressure to the tank to draw the juice through the channels. Either refit the screw and tighten the draw till it does wick properly and just suck harder or set about widening those juice channels. Don't know what make my 3.1 clone is, a cheap FT one, but it's a great vape. Can't build it too low or run it at too many watts but it's great around 1.4ohms on a mech, with the draw tightened down enough for it to wick nicely I can still lung hit it, just, and it's nice and flavourful, consistent too.

I've finaly got my 3.1 to work well. Had to do my wicking exactly the same as in the manual that comes with it but it works better then any other set up I've tried! My 3.1 seems perfect, but its not from fast tech

Nice one bud. What are you using for wick? Is it the 3.1 they sell in the shop?
