Hi guys wonder if anyone has any advice for me. I'm wicking my kfl with cotton on a micro coil. The coil is well above the air hole just under 2mm as a use my 2mm drill bit I use to wrap my coil as a guide. I prime it, All the o rings are in place and intact just as they should be. I fill from the bottom fill hole, I don't overfill it - only just covering the glass , and also don't force the liquid in, I fill it very slowly, but still at random times of the day find that juice has dribbled out of the fill hole. It's never more that half a thumb nail full but I'm lost as to why.

Could it be my wick? I try and make sure it only touches the base and not the channels, but I sort of let it drop over the sides and fan the cotton out rather that leave it in the shape of a standard wick.

Any help is much appreciated! Thank
Josh.

More than likely the build or a duff o ring somewhere. If its a clone some have o rings or lack of on the chimmey section that screws on the cylinder

Are we talking about the cone shaped piece onto the small tube that screws around the coil? Should that have a o ring on? I always thought that should maybe have one. All the o rings I can see are fine and the one is fitted into the top cap and seated properly. I take them all off to clean when I change my wick.

If its just a small dribble from the Filling screw it could be that either the O-ring on the filling screw is worn or missing or as in the case of my Genuine Kayfun Lite+ the filling screw itself hasa couple of tight spots as you tighten it so make sure that the fill screw has gone all the way down. If it is dribbling from the Airhole then it's most likely the O-ring on the chimney thats not sealing properly - always put a little juice on the tip of the chimney before you fit the topcap - I always leave the tank sections on the topcap it just seems easier to refit it squarely with the tank sections on...

Thanks for the advice! Will try this method in future see if I have any joy!

The chimney O-ring is the one in the topcap, it's that one that allows the vacuum to develop when you draw on the atty, that vacuum causes juice to flow up the channels - the O-ring keeps air from rushing in so the pressure in the tank drops until the vacuum caused by you drawing on the atty is matched by the vacuum in the tank - the juice then stops flowing and once you stop drawing on it the vacuum in the tank sucks any remaining juice and any air present back into the tank until the pressure balance is restored - it's the same principle as poultry drinkers...

I change all the O rings every 6 months. Never had any leaking and parts are cheap.

Changed all the o rings and still have the problem of juice occasionally dribbling out of the air hole. Only happens once a day maybe and it's only about a pin head amount.

So annoying!

I have had this happen very occasionally with one of my KFLs, what I do is take the atty off the mod, cover the 510 connection with a finger, take off the drip tip, turn the atty over so that it is facing downwards and given a gentle blow through the air hole, cleared up the residue sitting in the Top Section where the drip tip goes and that has cured any problems.

I had this, until I started to do a proper wick and bending it down instead of fanning it out. :)
