Hi guys.

I'm a big kayfun fan, but most of my existing kayfuns are either 3.1s or 3.1 variants.

Just got a kfl+ clone, also got a quartz tank and a custom top cap.

Ok, first time I filled it I top filled as I do daily with my 3.1s where it proceded to piss juice out of the airhole.

I inverted and blew the juice out and vaped it until empty.
This time I tried the fill screw on the bottom (never used this before as I am used to the 3.1) this time I got a small amount drip out of the driptip.

Since I was over eager when I first got it, I installed the quartz tank and custom top cap straight away, now I don't know which component is causing the problem.

The tank is the same height as the stock tank so I dont think its this.
I'm wondering if the top of the chimney o ring seated in the top cap is slightly higher than stock which is hardly sealing.

Sound plausible or is there another reason I can get a small amount of juice from the driptip when bottom filling?

One on the left is the custom cap and the one on the right is stock

Ok just arrived at work, picked mod up from passenger seat and went to take a puff. Gob full of juice, like GOB FULL

Am now guessing juice is flooding in through the channels, they are slightly deeper and wider than in my 3.1s, more wicking needed to fill chimney?

If you over fill very slightly from the fill screw it will force juice down the channels, especially if you keep the atty at an angle...
I'd also go back to the stock top cap and see if that helps...

That's where I had my problem with custom top cap not sealing properly.

Normal top cap no issue :D

Definitely think its the topcap. A 15minute drive to work led on its side gave me a gob full of juice. Its spent the last 2 and a half hours wrapped in tissue stood UPRIGHT and there is no juice in the chimney, not even a faint gurgle.

It must be weeping past the topcap o ring. Will go back to the stock topcap and see what happens

Whip the chimney off and check it with the seal on the top cap. It's probably leaking past the o ring.

(speaking from experience with a crappy clone and a Fastech nano kit. Even when I juiced it up it leaked out of the drip tip so I ended up cutting a chimney down to fit.)

Stock topcap on and no leaks, however with the quartz on (it must be a mil or two shorter than stock tank) I now have a small gap between topcap and tank as the chimney is bottoming out.

Looks like quartz off and custom topcap off and revert to stock.
No leaks and no gaps
