Any one use the steel tank instead of the poly window?
How do you know when juice is running low?
Do you just wait untill you start getting dry hits?

Really like the way it looks, just seems inconvenient.

Slightly burnt toke lets you know pretty darn quick.;)

+10 to what Rob said.

I never use the plastic tank section, as I don't like the idea of it dissolving when in contact with certain juices. I find that the flavour gets muted just before the dry hit. I top it up when it starts getting muted, and I never use the filling port, always unscrew the top and top up there. Weird, I know! :D

Does it damage your cottoning you wait till then though?

What's the secret to filling from the top?
Every time I try to take the top off juice just pours out of the air hole.

Silica man, I'm afraid mate, so no idea about cotton (tried it, but found the taste a bit dull). You will have a couple of burnt experiences, but you get to learn the telltale signs of a dry tank quite quickly - and know when to top up before you get dry hits. :)

When you fill from the top, cover the airhole with your thumb; unscrew the top; tighten the chimney section; refill the tank; screw on the top HALF WAY; tip the Atty so the drip tip is pointing obliquely down; tighten the top and remove your thumb from the airhole just as the top fully tightens. Take a couple of gentle draws without firing the Atty. You are good to go!

I'll try and do some piccies later, as it is raining, and I am bored! :D

Thanks for this @EthelKing

I can't get top filling to work either, waste of time IMHO. All it does is piss juice everywhere, I can bottom fill in a couple of minutes anyway!

Weirdly, I never even realised there was a filling port until I owned three Kayfuns! I've never had a leak when top filling, aside from a bit of juice around the join when it is pushed out of the threading when you fasten the top back up.

I would be interested to see how you top up using the port, as I have never seen it done, believe it or not! :D

That would be very helpful.
I would much prefer to fill from the top if using the steel tank.
