I'm thinking of buying a tank for MTL. Usually I use RDA, so have no experience of either of these two tanks. Although it will be a clone version I purchase. Could anyone advise on which of these two they believe is "better". Which is easier to build on. It's going to sit on a PICO (my first non mech for a while). Any input would be appreciated. Cheers

This is favourite MTL tank ATM... Basically a KF3 with more juice capacity, the 5 has more air adusment though but this is just working for me....

Take my advice as you will as I'm vaping on a trusty Kayfun lite in TC hovering, around 12 watts if I'm lucky..! Squonking to a votice TC around 25 watts and a big fat copper mech duel alien coils in a X1 @ .2 - 80 watts.... I'm quite varied..!

The above is drying out after being cleaned with another two ordered last week.

I have a clone of each. If you like mtl vaping then it has to be the kayfun3, unless you want to pay over a tenner for an extra part for the kayfun5 to make it a mtl tank.

But the small size and capacity of the v3 might not suit...

Fasttech were doing a clone v3, 22mm like the v5 is. Might be the best of both worlds.

Saying that, if you like a tight dtl draw then the v5 is the one for you.

The KF5 build deck is a lot easier to work with (but I wouldn't call the KF3 difficult).

Airflow on the KF5 is more open. You can MTL it on the lowest airflow setting, but if you're looking for a really tight MTL draw, you'll need to buy the MTL adaptor kit as well. Out of the box, I'd say it's a restricted DTL tank (and a very good one at that). The KF3 mini gives more of a classic tight MTL vape and at max airflow you can DTL.

Overall, I prefer the KF5 for the better deck and the increased capacity. You can get "KF3 plus" models with a larger capacity.

Importantly, both fit on the Pico (the KF5 has a bulge around the AFC, but it does pass the Pico's battery cap by a gnat's whisker). I'm not sure about the KF3 plus, so make sure you check if you want to go that route.

I've got the genuine version of both and while both are easy to build, those wee hooks on the deck of the kf5 make it that bit easier, and of course it's easier to adjust the airflow.

Hello mate me again, not following you honest!! Seems we got same taste..... on the kfv5 how would you compare the kfv4 airflow. On the 4 i woud mtl with the airflow screw completly removed. Can the 5 emulate this same airflow in one of the four diff airflow posituons?

I think you'll get on with the KF5 airflow in that case. It opens up a bit wider at maximum, similar to a KF4 with the 4S kit installed. Basically if you use V3/4 fully open, then you won't need the extra MTL restrictor kit for the V5.

Meant to add, on my mini v3, I have the screw fully open and on the KF5 I have it set at the 3 dots setting which I feel is similar draw to the mini v3. [emoji106] Not had a kf4... Yet. [emoji3]
